Set against the backdrop of a fast-emerging metropolis, Royal Village acts as a gateway to the much sought-after experiences of the Kerala countryside, while keeping Kochi city’s conveniences at arm’s reach.
A delightful haven amidst nature, Royal Village has been our holiday home for more than two decades. 18 kilometres away from Kochi City and 22 kilometres from the airport, it also boasts of being accessible by waterways for the sea-faring amongst you.
Majestic trees crown the Royal Village offering plenty of shade and nurturing life around it. You will find a variety of trees - Teak, Rosewood, Mango, and of course Coconut trees that draw pods of birds. Most birds swing by in the morning to wake you up with their sweet melody. There’s also our homely staff in case you don’t want it left to the birds alone.
Nestled within the tranquil surroundings of Royal Village is the Farm House. An ancestral home – tharavadu – built in the late 19th century, the Farm House is our getaway from the hectic pace of city life. A place to spend a few leisurely days with family and friends, unwinding and enjoying nature. The Farm House gives us an opportunity to sample the delights of an era and a way of life that is slowly becoming a bygone memory.
The Farm house maintains a Dove Cote where you can find a beautiful collection of Fantail doves preening about in their natural surroundings. At the Farm Aviary, the frolicking of the hens, geese, guinea hens and other farm birds will serve as a welcome relief to the city's hullabaloo. Our Organic Farm supplies fresh eggs, fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. The Orchid Garden boasts of a variety of exotic orchid and anthurium plants and our Fish and Lotus Pond is undoubtedly the most picturesque spot at Royal Village.
There is an Activity Room to make merry and play board games, a Swimming Pool to cool down on hot summer days and a Children's Park to keep your kids entertained and out of trouble! Our extensive Lawns can be used to host any type of function and Periyar built in the style of the old Oottupuras (eating houses), provides a relaxed and open air ambience for guests to enjoy their food.
For those who want to indulge in something a little more – we’ve got just the thing! We can offer exclusive presentations of the traditional Cultural Art Forms like Kathakali, Mohiniyattom and Kalaripayattu. What better place to enjoy these feats than in their true traditional setting – right here at Royal Village.
